A FAMILY FARM ยท LEESVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA

Real food from our family's land.

We raise eggs, pecans, beef, and Nigerian Dwarf goats on our farm in Leesville, and we sell directly to the families who eat what we grow. No middleman, no mystery about where it came from. Just good food, raised with patience.

WHAT WE RAISE

Four things, done right.

We'd rather do a few things well than a lot of things halfway. Everything below comes from our own land and our own animals, and we're happy to answer any question about how it was raised.

AVAILABLE NOW

Farm-Fresh Eggs

Eggs from our own flock, sold by the dozen. Expect a mix of shell colors and yolks that are noticeably richer than what you'll find on a grocery shelf.

FALL HARVEST

Pecans

In-shell pecans from the trees on our property, sold by the pound. The harvest runs through late fall, and once this year's crop is gone, it's gone until next season.

TAKING RESERVATIONS

Beef by the Share

Reserve a quarter, half, or whole beef raised on our farm. You buy a share of the animal, a local processor cuts and wraps it to your instructions, and you fill your freezer for months.

  3. Pick it up at the farm

Pickup is by appointment in Leesville. We share the exact address once your order is confirmed.

OUR FARM

First generation on this land. Planning for many more.

We didn't inherit a farm. We bought one, and we're building it the slow way: a few animals at a time, fences mended by hand, and pecan trees that were here long before us and will be here long after.

Salamon's Land and Livestock is our family's commitment to steward this ground well and to put honest food on our neighbors' tables. We're raising our four daughters on it, which means every decision we make about how we care for the land and the animals is one we'd be proud for them to inherit.

The farm is part of Salamon's Inc., our family's holding company, and it's built on the same idea as everything else we do: one family, many callings, and one standard of excellence.

  • Raised with patience

Good food can't be rushed. We give our animals and our trees the time they need.

  • Sold face to face

You'll know who raised your food, and we'll know who's eating it.

  • Honest about what we have

If something's sold out or not ready, we'll tell you plainly.

  • Here for the long haul

We plan to farm this land for generations, so we treat it that way.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good questions we hear a lot.

Where is the farm?

We're in Leesville, South Carolina, in western Lexington County. We share the exact address when we confirm your pickup, since this is also our family's home.

Can I just drop by?

Please don't. Pickup is by appointment only, so we can have your order ready and give you our full attention. Send an order request and we'll find a time that works.

How do I pay?

You pay at pickup. We'll go over the payment options we accept when we confirm your order. Nothing is charged online.

Do you deliver or ship?

Not right now. Everything is pickup at the farm. If you're a regular egg customer nearby, ask us, and we'll see what we can work out.

Why do eggs look different from store eggs?

Our hens come in a few breeds, so shell colors vary from batch to batch. That's normal for a small flock. Inside, you'll usually notice firmer whites and deeper yolks.

Why do you sell beef by the share instead of by the cut?

Selling individual retail cuts requires processing at a USDA-inspected facility. Selling a share of the live animal lets us work with a local custom processor, and lets you choose exactly how your beef is cut and wrapped. Our beef shares page walks through the whole process.

Ready to fill your fridge, freezer, or pasture?

Tell us what you're looking for, and a member of our family will get back to you within one to two days.
